[EN] The invention relates to an oxygenator module (10; 110) for gas exchange between blood and a gas in an extra-corporeal lung assistance system, having a plurality of layers (12) of semi-permeable hollow fibers (13) through which gas can flow, the hollow fibers of one of the layers being orientated at a rotational angle about a longitudinal mid-axis (M) of the oxygenator module in relation to the hollow fibers of another of the layers, and having potting (11), which extends along the longitudinal mid-axis and in which the hollow fibers (13) are fixed, wherein the potting defines a cavity (K) extending along the longitudinal mid-axis (M), in which the hollow fibers are arranged and through which blood can flow in the direction of the longitudinal mid-axis, wherein the seal has a substantially circular internal circumferential surface (11a) which bounds the cavity radially on the outside. In this way, an improved flow through the oxygenator module (10; 110) can be achieved. The invention further relates to an oxygenator (1; 101) and to a method for producing the oxygenator module (10; 110).
