Abstract

People analytics (PA), which applies big data in human resources management (HRM), is becoming increasingly important in the current globalized and digitalized era. PA improves employees' wellbeing and helps organizations create value on the market to become more competitive, achieving sustainable development, as defined in 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations.
Based on the existing literature regarding how big data can benefit the HR functions, this paper analyzes the main aspects of PA in employees' training processes, considering the recent technology changes and the impact of Sars-Cov-2. Using data-based analysis, organizations can create a personalized training program for each employee to achieve the expected results. Therefore, to assess whether the training has been effective and whether the investment has been profitable, organizations should use specific tools and competencies, the results of digital transformation itself. In conclusion, it emerged that using PA in the training process is becoming increasingly relevant in organizations and, despite risks and costs, the benefits are considerable.
