Abstract
In the design and development of telecommunication systems, the preparation of experiments can be made more effective by predicting the system performance and its dependence on the different system parameters. This can be done by modeling the system and using performance evaluation methods. This dissertation is concerned with the development of performance evaluation methods and their application to physical aspects of digital communication systems.
