Abstract

Polyamides (PAs) are high‐molecular‐weight materials containing amide units; the hydrocarbon segments between the amide groups can be aliphatic, partially aromatic, or wholly aromatic. We begin the chapter with an introductory section, and then discuss structure‐property relationships. Next, we present an overview of chemistry and analytical techniques, followed by a discussion of synthetic methods.
