Abstract

This chapter presents the required fundamentals for understanding and analyzing the technical aspects (thermodynamic analysis for design and off-design operation conditions) of the energy storage technologies/approaches to be introduced in this book and also the required correlations and basic knowledge of economic analysis and environmental impact assessment of them.
