    Abstract

    Production of an artificial blood vessel for implantation into a recipient comprises coating a porous plastics tube with a collagen material and crosslinking the collagen material with a compound capable of forming peptide bonds, the degree of crosslinking being such that 8-20 out of 27 free amino groups per 1000 amino acids are not crosslinked.
