Abstract
Current developments in lightweight construction intend to contribute to improving the structural integrity of hybrid components - without neglecting the energy and resource consumption this involves. A research consortium is concentrating on improving the production processes for integral form-fitting and cohesive material composites made from fiber-reinforced plastics and metals. Future applications in mass production intend to reduce CO? emissions in street traffic.
