Abstract
The synthesis of cation ligands based on resorcinarene cavitands and a single-crystal X-ray structure (obtained at 150 K) are reported. The preorganization of the cation ligating functionalities was influenced by varying the spacer length. The application of these ligands in selective ion detection by chemically-modified field-effect transistors (CHEMFETs) is reported.
