    Abstract

The local organizers of the RoboCup European Championship presents a brief, informal overview of this event with the aim to support organizers of future RoboCup events in the organization and coordination of such a rather complex tournament. The objective was to organize a low cost scientific event accessible to all interested research groups in the region. The second objective was to attract the attention of students-to-be and interest them for sciences. The objective has left its mark on the organization as such: Members from the academia have been the driving behind this event.
