Scaling theory of wave confinement in classical and quantum periodic systems

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionAcademicpeer-review

Abstract

Identifying and classifying confinement is crucial for understanding the wave behavior in structures with functional defects, but currently only indirect methods exist. We present a direct scaling-based classification method and apply it to realistic structures.
