Stability, staging and ordering in silver intercalates of 1T-TiS2, 2H-NbS2 and 2H-TaS2

The stability of intercalated phases AgxTiS2, AgxNbS2 and AgxTaS2 is discussed on bases of EMF measurements; a comparison is made with the corresponding alkali-metal intercalates. Structures of the intercalated phases (dilute stage-1, second-stage and first stage) are compared in relation with properties. Results of X-ray diffraction of single crystals are presented.
