Abstract

The electromagnetic topology and electromagnetic zoning challenges for TEMPEST are compared to zoning as used in other pillars within the electromagnetic compatibility domain, like nuclear electromagnetic pulse, lightning and lightning electromagnetic pulses, and electromagnetic interference. The objectives are the same, but the development of procedures, requirements and methodology have been developed in separate pillars resulting in different approaches. However, this paper shows that the zoning is actually the same, and gives some recommendation for requirements and verification methods.
