N2 - The demonstrator system is one of the main results of TRANSCOOP, realizing the most important concepts introduced in the project. Its purpose is to demonstrate the usefulness and applicability of the scientific results [TransCoop, 1994]. for the implementation of the demonstrator system, we chose a subset of the concepts developed in the project, which was, on the one hand, powerful enough to demonstrate the TRANSCOOP approach to cooperation, and on the other hand, allowed a reliable implementation within the time frame of the project. the implemented parts include most of the tools of the specification environment, the CoACT transaction model, as well as an enforcement mechanism for step constraints. the resulting demonstrator system allows us to show how cooperative scenarios are specified, validated, compiled for execution, and finally executed.
