Abstract

The IAHR Working Group on Compound Channels started its activities in 2007, under the auspices of the Fluvial Hydraulic Committee. Its main purpose is to foster collaboration and information sharing amongst researchers involved in compound channel modeling. As part of its activities, this group recently conducted a first benchmarking exercise, devoted to uniform How in a prismatic compound channel. The paper gives the benchmark and summarizes the results obtained with various models.
