Abstract

We present the first hybrid integrated, extended cavity diode laser (ECDL) in the blue wavelength range. Integrating a CMOS-compatible silicon nitride (Si3N4) feedback circuit with a gallium nitride amplifier, we obtain 8.5 nm wide tuning around 454 nm.
